What is the difference between extrusion, rolling and forging?
Extrusion is the process of pulling the material through a die (usually) to get it shaped. Think of squishing play-dough through the different shape holes. Rolling is like extrusion but you put the material through rollers instead of a closed shape. Forging usually uses a hammer or other device to hit the material into shape.
