What is the difference between exit device functions NL, storeroom, and classroom?
NL (know as nite latch) – The key in the outside of the exit device retracts the latchbolt. Once the key is removed the door remains locked. Storeroom (functions a little different than a lock function) – The key releases the lever/knob and the lever/knob retracts the latch bolt. Upon removal of the key the door returns to it’s locked position. Classroom (functions same as a lock) – The key unlocks the outside knob/lever/thumb piece and the door functions as a passage set until the key relocks the trim.
