What is the difference between evaporation and condensation?
Evaporation is a process in which liquid molecules remove from the surface of the liquid. It is a slow vaporization. In evaporation liquid molecules are changed into vapors when pressure of liquid becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure. In some elements, solid directly converts into gas without passing through liquid phase, it is called sublimation. Condensation is a reverse process of evaporation. In condensation gas molecules change into liquid molecules. The phase transition of liquid into solid is also called condensation. In some substances, direct conversion of gases into solids without passing through the liquid phase is called deposition or desublimation.
