What is the difference between ester C and regular C?
There are three main types of vitamin C: ascorbic acid, which may cause gastrointestinal distress; buffered vitamin C, which is simply ascorbic acid in a salt form; and Ester-C , a powerfully different, natural form of vitamin C containing essential minerals, like calcium, and matabolites that help your cells efficiently absorb the vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is actually an acid and some people experience gastrointestinal distress upon ingestion. In addition, Ester C is non-acidic and less irritating.
