In 2002 ESPN brought ESPN Classic Sport to Europe, dedicated to showcasing the greatest moments in sport, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and showing an addictive mix of full-length matches, highlights, profiles, documentaries and sports films, with a distinctly local emphasis. ESPN Classic Sport France launched in March 2002, and is available on all major cable and satellite operators in France. ESPN Classic Sport Italy launched in July 2002, and is available on Sky Italia. ESPN Classic Sport Europe launched in December 2003. This English-language channel is available across Europe.
