What is the difference between enrolling with ACEA and registering with the county as a home education student?

ACEA is a private school. Therefore, students are not bound by Florida homeschooling laws. ACEA provides an “umbrella” to its members in all counties within the state of Florida. While students are taught at home, they are students of ACEA and under such circumstances are not required to register with the county nor meet the requirements of the state of Florida.
