What is the difference between emboss and indent printing on dog tags?
Each of the printing processes use a stamp and cannot be produced by engraving (scratching the surface). The emboss and indent processes are longer lasting than engraving. Emboss means the letters are raised up from the surface like on your credit cards while indenting dog tags, the original stamping process used on dog tags, means that the letters are pressed downward into the metal.
