Retrofit is the addition of SmartMech technology to existing coin mechanisms that are in the field. The switch (patent pending) is installed on the coin mechanism, which is then connected via a cable to the SmartMech board. For embedded, the OEM manufacturer of a coin mechanism adapts the design to allow for the embedding of the SmartMech board inside the coin mechanism. A small sealed polycarbonate window in the front of the coin mechanism permits data exchange with the PDA.
