What is the difference between EDU/011 which replaces EDU/005?
EDU/005 states ‘for 2005/06, external qualifications are defined as GCSEs and GNVQs.’ Hence, this indicator only counted points scores for 16 year olds through GCSEs and GNVQs. EDU/011 which replaces EDU/005 ‘includes any approved external qualifications as listed under section 99 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000, for the purposes of section 96 of that Act’. As it states in the guidance for EDU/011, ‘ A complete list of the approved external qualifications can be found on the Learning Wales website. Points are allocated according to the equivalencies detailed on the Open Qualifications database’ EDU/012 Class Sizes Q: Please can you also confirm that for EDU/012 we use September 07 class size information for the 2008-09 performance year. A: The information for EDU/012 for the reporting year 2008-09 will be taken from the September 2007 class size count.
