DVD is a new type of CD-ROM drive. Short for Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc, a DVD disk will hold anywhere from 4.7 to 17gigabytes of data. The optional DVD drive in the WinBook J1 is backward compatible with your original CD-ROM disks.
