What is the difference between duplication and transcription in protein synthesis?

DNA replication, (i think thats what you mean by duplication, but I’m not sure) is making DNA from a template strand of DNA. Has nothing do to with making a protein. You only make DNA when reparing somehting, or if the cells about to split. Transcription is making a single strand of mRNA from a template strand of DNA. Translation is making a protein using a strand of mRNA to code for the amino acids.
