What is the difference between “Domain Forwarding” and “Email Forwarding”?
In the “Mail Menu” section of your cPanel control panel, there are two items with similar names – the “Domain Forwarding” and “Email Forwarding”. Whilst these both change where your email is destined to, they both work in different ways. Domain Forwarding The Domain Forwarding option will forward all email from your domain name to a different domain name “as is”. For example, if example.com is being forwarded to auto-co.nic.uk (where example.com is your main domain name, and auto-co.nic.uk is the domain name you have entered as a “Domain forwarder” domain name) and somebody emails frank@example.com , then this email will be forwarded to frank@auto-co.nic.uk . Emails to bravo@example.com will be forwarded to bravo@auto-co.nic.uk . You cannot set domain forwarding to forward to a single email address – only to a different domain name. If domain forwarding is enabled, any POP3 email accounts setup will still receive the email, but it will not be forwarded on. Email Forwarders Email forwar
