A. Direct scanning uses 8-bit technology for older scanners. Twain is the industry standard, which uses 16-bit technology, and TWAIN_32 utilizes 32-bit technology. Q. When I click on the Scan Icon CASmate Locks up. A. Do you have a TWAIN Driver loaded and selected in CASmate? If CASmate does not detect a TWAIN driver it will lock up when trying to scan. (Misc Menu>Setup>Scanner) Q. The Scan & Vectorize function in CASmate does not work for me. A. The Scan & Vectorize function is for Direct Scanners (8-bit) and will not work with 32-bit TWAIN Drivers. Q. After installing CorelDraw I am unable to scan in CASmate.
