What is the difference between Digital Design and Web Design?
Although the programs sound similar and offer some of the same software, the focus for Digital Design and Web Design is different. Digital Design focuses in print, graphic design with some multimedia. If you study digital design when you graduate it’s more likely that you’ll get a job as a graphic designer. For example, you can work for a magazine, a newspaper, book companies etc. Web Design has a bigger emphasis in multimedia (video and audio), interactivity and web. This means that if you would like to see your work on a screen (TV, web, ipods, etc.) rather than on paper and learn animation and 3D modeling you should study web design. The Web Design Program also includes some print. Students learn Illustrator and Photoshop. They create T-shirts, postcards, illustrations, buttons, brochures, business cards, and logos.
