What is the difference between Digital and Offset Printing?
Digital printing is very cost effective for low quantity runs of between 1 and 2000 pieces. Digital printing is also customizable; each card can be personalized based on a mailing list. Digital prints are usually run on 100LB. Paper stock or less. Digital printing uses the latest in laser technology, which creates a very high quality print with brilliant colors. Offset printing is very cost effective for runs over 2000 pieces. Offset printing uses plates to output print instead of laser. The offset presses are not capable of exact color matching, however thicker paper stocks such as 12 pt card stock can be used for printing. Like Digital, the Offset presses output extremely high quality printing.
