DensGuard tile backer is engineered to be used in direct wet areas such as a shower; the coating on the face is designed for proper tile adhesion and serves as a moisture barrier, while DensArmor Plus is designed to be used like traditional wallboard. Both DensArmor Plus and DensGuard have fiberglass mats embedded into a moisture-resistant core and resist moisture and the potential for mold growth.
