What is the difference between DDR and RDRAM?
DDR and RDRAM (also called Rambus) are two of the newest types of memory technology available on the market. DDR and RDRAM are not compatible with each other, so you need to buy whichever type your system takes. For more information on both types of memory, see Memory: The Next Generation. You can also find more information about DDR in our Introduction to DDR and our DDR Shopping Guide.
