What is the difference between Damp or Wet Location rated fixtures?
A Damp Location rated fixture refers to a UL listing that allows a unit to be operated in a high humidity area. Damp rated units cannot be directly in contact with rain or the elements. Wet Location rated fixture refers to a UL listing that allows a unit to be in direct contact with rain or other elements. Wet rated units are not to be submerged.
