What is the difference between CSC and other international organisations?
CSC is, to our knowledge, unique. It is the only global network focussed exclusively on supporting street children. There are very large national, multi-national and multi-lateral organisations that support a wide range of children. There are many local, national or regional organisations and networks that support street children. CSC aims to amplify the work and the voices of any organisation that supports street children. We provide scale and impact by association and cooperation, not by size. We currently comprise some 50 organisations from around the world working in over 100 countries. The significant majority of our members are small or medium sized. Even the largest specialist street child supporting organisations are still small compared to any of the larger multinational charities. Street children deserve to have their specific needs, wants and rights understood and to be represented at the highest level. This is what CSC seeks to do.
