You may have noticed that hemorrhoid treatments such as ANUSOL® and ANUSOL® Plus come in an ointment and a suppository format. There is no difference in the medication contained in each format of ANUSOL® products and it is up to your personal preference which one you use. Hemorrhoid creams/ointments work well on both external and internal hemorrhoids, and suppositories are best for internal hemorrhoids.
