What is the difference between CPR Anytime™ Family & Friends™ and the traditional CPR for Family & Friends program?
Both the CPR Anytime™ Family & Friends™ kit and the traditional CPR for Family & Friends program emphasize the “core skills” of CPR – pushing on the chest (compressions) and breathing for the victim (ventilation). They also teach users/students how to recognize that an emergency exists, check the victim for signs of circulation – breathing, coughing, movement – and call 911. In a traditional CPR for Family & Friends program, relief of choking and recognizing the signs of heart attack and stroke are included, and child and infant CPR is often covered. The CPR Anytime™ Family & Friends™ program covers these topics as additional information on the DVD or in the resource booklet. It also includes automated external defibrillation information.
