What is the difference between counting and estimating?
It is all a question of precision. Our directional sensor has a precision approaching the limits of the possible, regardless of traffic density or the environment layout. When using it, we say we are counting. We can also use other sensors that return less accurate results depending on traffic density and space layout. In this case we use the term estimating. Whenever you have to apply correction factors to data, you are estimating.
