What is the difference between COSMOSMotion and SolidWorks Animator?
COSMOSMotion is based on physics and SolidWorks Animator is not. Physics means effects like gravity and friction are captured in the motion. COSMOSMotion allows you to simulate the physical motion of your design and visualize the motion through animations and plots of the underlying engineering data. You can use a COSMOSMotion AVI to capture and communicate the physical motion to others. SolidWorks Animator is a tool to help you choreograph animations. The animations can contain rotating assemblies, assembling/disassembling parts, and articulated assemblies. Like COSMOSMotion, the animations can be stored as AVI files for collaboration purposes.
