What is the difference between coordinates, locations, and POIs?
Coordinates are made up of two measures (latitude and longitude) and can be used with locations and POIs to pinpoint geographical position. In POIfriend, locations are places where you determine yourself to be ‘anchored’ like your home or office – and are comprised of a named set of coordinates. POIs (points of interest) also have a named set of coordinates (along with other information) – but are considered the places you wish to visit. It is not necessary to transfer your location to a GPS-enabled device because by its very nature it takes care of where you are located. However, POIs do get transferred to be available to you at any time.
