What is the difference between Combat Survival, CKM, and Women’s CKM?
Combat Survival is a complete system comprising of 4 components: a) Commando Krav Maga b) Women’s Commando Krav Maga c) Children’s Commando Krav Maga d) Mental & Physical training CKM is an Israeli fighting system that was designed for hand to hand combat on the battlefield and was later adapted for use on the streets for self-defense. CKM classes are co-ed, although the majority of CKM students and instructors are men. Women’s CKM is part of the CKM system but the techniques are customized to address the specific ways in which women are attacked. For example, women are often grabbed from behind or are taken to the ground, (whereas men might be more apt to become involved in a fist fight or be grabbed in a headlock). Women’s CKM classes are for women only. The purpose of this is to provide a safe, non-intimidating environment in which to learn the techniques.
