What is the difference between Co-op (education) and Internship (education)?
Co-op education is experiential learning that is prearranged with an employer in such a way as to offer the student employment upon graduation by stretching (usually) a 4- year Bachelor’s program into 5 years. In this arrangement the student works one semester then comes back to school the following semester. Repeated twice during the fourth year of study, the student ends up with one year of work experience upon graduation, and a job. MBA Programs don’t usually have co-op arrangements unless the employer initiates them.
