they’re not really related. Cloning, is creating an exact cellular duplicate or a being that’s identical in DNA. Stem cell research is researching how stem cells (basically blank slate cells) can be used to treat just about everything. It’s believed that stem cells can be used to repair and replace damaged parts of people. Since stem cells are “blank slates” they can take the role of just about any cell in your body. If injected into the brain, they’ll become brain cells, or into the spine, they become nerve cells, etc.
