What is the difference between circuit breaker and ceramic fuse?
A circuit breaker is a complex electronic device that can automatically shut off when the load on it is exceeded beyond its rating; whereas a ceramic fuse is, simply put, constructed by using a wire of rated thickness which is designed to burn out and open the circuit when the load on it is exceeded. The main point of difference lies in the fact that once the ceramic fuse blows, you need to buy a new one, or in some models, manually replace the wire with another fuse wire of rated thickness. On the other hand, if a circuit breaker goes off, it can be simply reset by pressing a switch or moving a lever.
