Distributed database is the collection of multiple database that are distributes over the computer network. Information about different departments as database lies at different computers. A distributed database management system (DDBMS) manages the distributed databases. Where as Centralised Database resides on a mainframe, miniframe or a Server and accessed by the client computer on a network. A database management system (DBMS) manages the centralised databases.
