What is the difference between CCPS, UCES, and other Career Centers?
CCPS is focused on helping students who are undecided in their majors, who want to switch majors, or who have a major but do not know what career to pursue. CCPS is the only available source on campus for taking the various career tests. UCES, and other career offices in the Schools of Business, Engineering, and Journalism, help students in the actual job search process. UCES and the other Career Centers in the individual schools assist with building resumes, interviewing skills, practicing mock interviews, locating job openings, scheduling on-campus interviews, and on-line resume postings. The individual Career Centers in the Schools of Business, Engineering, and Journalism are geared toward assisting their own students in the job search process. If you are unsure about which office is best suited for your needs, simply call one of the offices and the staff will point you in the right direction.
