What is the difference between “categories” in the eYellowPages site and the Rotary “classifications” system?

There is a huge difference between these two concepts. The District has an estimated 2500 classifications for members. There are only about 10% or 250 Categories available in the eYellow Pages. Think of classifications as micro and categories as macro. Classifications for individual Rotarians must be different in the club they belong to. Moreover, Rotarians select their classifications to help market their business and range of services. It would simply be unwieldy to list all classifications of all the Rotarians in the District, so the number of categories was reduced to a more manageable level. Rather than list every specialty of a field, say Medical Doctor, only one macro category is available. Users can then more more clearly define their specialty pediatrician, urologist, family practice, internist, etc. in their individual listing. However, users may suggest additional categories which will be evaluated by a District eYellow Pages Review Board.
