What is the difference between cash drawers?
The main difference between cash drawers is material, features and how they are connected to the computer. Most of the cash drawers are made of steel. This is the strongest type and most durable drawer. A steel drawer will allow you to put items on top of them without worrying about the drawer bending and are not significantly more expensive than the plastic drawers. The other main difference is how they are connected to the computer (serial, parallel, receipt printer driven or USB). There are also some differences in features (media slots, height, allowable space under the tray, number of tray spaces, tray construction).
