What is the difference between Campus Ministry and Campus Crusade for Christ?
Before any differences are stated, one distinct similarity between the two are of note: both ministries serve to glorify God. An example would be their desire to live and share the Gospel within the university and beyond (See Campus Ministry’s mission statement.). However, there are two differences between Campus Ministry and Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC): Biblical conviction and ministry philosophy. Campus Ministry interprets the mission of Jesus Christ through the Marianist Tradition, where some beliefs are not clearly found in Scripture. CCC’s statement of faith clearly maintains the belief in the deity of Christ, and in the authority and reliability of the Bible. Because of the specialized calling of our movement, we desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.
