What is the difference between bugs and viruses?
Although their symptoms sometimes can be similar, bugs and viruses have very different causes. Bugs are produced by the software vendors themselves, and represent the errors and mistakes that inevitably accompany all human endeavor. Viruses, on the other hand, are the product of rogue individuals who produce malicious code in the hope that it will in fact and damage other people’s data and/or programs.
