What is the difference between Botox and Juvederm/Restylane?
Botox is a botulinum toxin that is injected into the muscle to restrict movement. By restricting muscle movement, you are not able to create the expression causing the wrinkle. For example, it works to smooth the lines in your forehead or between the eyebrows. Because you do not want to restrict muscle movement in the area around your mouth, we have fillers to fill the lines. Juvederm and Restylane are both fillers made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. These products are used to fill the crease or plump the lips.
