What is the difference between blasting and chemical stripping? Is blasting really better?
Blasting is accomplished through the application of compressed air propelling the media or sand onto the surface at the required amount of pressure to remove paint, coating and rust from the surface. Chemical stripping is the application of liquid chemical onto the surface by hand (brush or rag) and the removal of the residue on the surface after the chemical has penetrated the paint. Scraping and reapplication is often required to entirely clean the surface.
