Blackboard.com was free for anyone to use until summer 2002. It provides only limited features since it is version 2.0 of the software. Ccc.Blackboard.com is on a separate server, is a purchased product specifically for educators of the City Colleges of Chicago, is version 5.5 of the software and includes many course tools and features. BlackBoard has been be upgraded to 6.0 at the end of December 2002. CCC BlackBoard will be upgraded to the Learning System. There are integration plans for the Email Servers and BlackBoard for a single login.
