What is the difference between Bashing and Lethal?
Bashing damage represents battering, bruising, punches, short falls and all forms of temporary damage. While a single Bashing blow could instantly kill, it is more likely to leave bruising, cracked bones, and possibly internal bleeding while stunning the target or knocking him unconscious. Lethal damage occurs from gunfire, slicing weapons, long falls and strikes to the head. Regardless of a mortal’s relative level of health, a bullet through the liver or a sharp blade slicing through a lung could kill him almost instantly. Lethal damage creates killing wounds; wounds which require medical treatment. Bullets are normally considered to cause bashing damage against vampires, due to the limited effect on undead flesh. However, bullets pierceing a vampire’s head are considered lethal, as a good head shot has the same effect as decapation (destroying the brain).
