What is the difference between ball-bearing carriers and button-glides, or (friction glides), and where are they used?

Ball-bearing carriers are larger and heavier glides that are mainly used for over-draperies, draperies with blackout lining. The weight of the drape allows the ball-bearings to slide freely across the rod. The Button-glides, or friction glides are lighter weight and also take less weight from the window treatment to allow them to work properly. These are best used with lighter window treatment such as window sheers. *Please reference our parts list in the Contract System Parts section of the web site.
