What is the difference between AWAS and other water accounting approaches?
Many government departments, agencies and other organisations have developed their own approaches to quantifying and reporting information on water. These might be considered ‘water accounting standards’ within specific jurisdictions or organisations. In contrast, the ED AWAS 1 set out the nationally applicable requirements for the preparation and presentation of GPWARs.
