What is the difference between Available Balance and Current Balance on my deposit slip from my bank?
Current balance is the balance after all transactions posted at the end of the last business day. Available balance is the current balance + today’s deposits – pending withdraws – any funds on hold. Funds on hold are usually related to deposited checks that have not ‘cleared’. Also note: NEITHER balance accounts for any paper checks you wrote that have not been received by your bank.
