What is the difference between Auto Start Manager and a scheduler ?
Auto Start Manager is only active when Windows is started. Once it has completed starting any programs, it terminates. A scheduler on the other hand remains active for the entire Windows session, and so can start programs at specific times. I wrote Auto Start Manager because I wanted different programs to run depending on whether I was in the office or elsewhere. Windows 95 very nicely handles the hardware configuration, but didn’t offer different startup groups.
