What is the difference between Australian and other hemp oil produced overseas?
Here in Australia we are assured of the highest level of standards to ensure a clean, pure industrial hemp crop. Due to stringent regulations there is virtually no margin for error, ensuring the end consumer that the product is the best possible. Happy Planet cold presses its Australian grown hemp seed at a certified Organic Facility and mills the hemp seed meal into flour and protein powder. The hemp seed oil is then filtered, nitrogen flushed and sealed in opaque glass before cold-storing at 4 Celcius. For many imported oils this cannot be guaranteed. In China for example, so-called ‘cold-pressed’ oils have found to be rancid due to cold pressing at over 80 degrees Celcius and/or poor storage.
