What is the difference between attitudinal deafness and audiometric deafness?
Attitudinal deafness is when a member of society, identifies themselves with the Deaf community and supports the ideals and values of said community, without regard to degree of hearing loss, or any other factors that may influence thier decision. Audiometric deafness is the identification of actual degree of hearing loss in a person without regard to the cultural aspects of the Deaf community and its members.
