What is the difference between Assignments and Digital Dropbox?
It is recommended that you use the Blackboard Assignment tool for digitally submitted assignments, and not the Digital Dropbox. The Blackboard Assignment tool is integrated into the Blackboard Gradebook, and therefore allows instructors and TAs to better manage and find assignments during and after the semester. The Digital Dropbox has only one main directory, which can make it very difficult to find assignments as they start to accumulate during the semester. Additionally, the built-in Blackboard Assignment tool allows an instructor or TA to batch download assignments into one Zip (compressed data) file. The Dropbox has no such feature.
