What is the difference between Archea and Archaea?

I don’t know for sure but, in a case like that, I wouldn’t assume there need be a difference beyond the spelling. Some Latin-based words have varying spelling in the English language, and that looks like a good candidate. Written English used to have a letter that’s now in danger of extinction; a combined symbol for ‘ae’. It was an equivalent of a German ‘รค’. It occured in various words such as (in the traditional UK spelling): mediaeval, palaeontology and the ancient continent of Pangaea. For those same words, the usual US spelling has become medieval, paleontology and Pangea. A US style spelling of archea would bring it into line with other words featuring the same sound. One of those is archaeology / archeology. That said, I’ve not previously seen it written like that as far as I can recall.
