What is the difference between Arcadia and a registry?

0

Arcadia is a CT licensed agency, therefore we are regulated to make sure that our staff has; at least 3 employment reference checks,a security check, they are bonded, they have current physicals and are free of commun-icable diseases, they are required to attend educational inservices, they are covered by malpractice insurance, worker’s compensation and unemployment insurances. Each case is assesed and supervised by a Registered Nurse. This is not required for a registry, as a matter of fact registries have no regulations.Registries don’t carry worker’s comp, if an employee is hurt in your home you are responsible. If you pay the worker more than $600, you are required to give them a #1099 tax form as an independant contractor.
