First, most uppers use production grade barrels, they may be labled “bull”, “target”, or “Varmint” or “match” to try to fool people into thinking there are getting something special but really they are just heavier production barrels. I can assure you our match barrels are not the same as M&A parts or M1 sales “match barrels”. If the company will not tell you who makes the blanks you can bet it’s not a hand-lapped match barrel. Second, We design our uppers to be the most efficent cartridge/barrel combination. Cartridges have certain powder limitations. If the intended purpose is to shoot 500 yds then we find the bullet that has the best exterior ballistics for the chosen caliber as long as it will shoot sub MOA groups. We match the barrel twist to the bullet so we can get the most velocity while sufficiently stabilizing the bullet. We true and bed all of the receivers and finally we spec certain reamers to achieve the proper bullet to land distance while working within the limitation t
