What is the difference between aquatic therapy and wound care therapy and whirlpool therapy?
is often ordered for cleansing of open wounds, and removal of necrotic tissue from open wounds. Wound care therapy includes all aspects of wound care (debridement, dressings, cleansing), including whirlpool therapy. Aquatic therapy is not for open wounds, but for physical therapy treatment of neuromuscular or musculoskeletal disorders administered in a pool setting.
