What is the difference between applique & embroidery?
Appliqu letters (tackle twill) are actual cut-outs of the Greek letters and are sewn to the garment by an embroidery machine through a four step process. The background letters (4.25) are available in Solid and Metallic fabrics, while the foreground letters (4) are available in Solids, Prints, Metallics and Plaids. Due to the letters total horizontal length (~16), certain clothing types cannot contain appliqu letters. Embroidery, which includes our DG Designs, is when thread is stitched into a garment by an embroidery machine. Size, location, thread color, font, and wording are all variables in this process. All clothing types can be embroidered. ↑ Back to Top • Once I start designing, am I able to go back and make changes? Absolutely!
